Uluhaimalama: Legacies of Lili’uokalani

This book was produced by SCAP’s second resident artist, Allison Milham, during the 2011-2012 academic year. Her project explores the occupied state of Hawai‘i; its political past and history of organized resistance. The work includes a 12-inch vinyl record of music composed by Queen Lili’uokalani, (preformed by Milham), as well as a stencil, lyric sheet, informational pamphlet, postcards and more.

12 x 12 x .5 inches. All items are housed in a clamshell box. Images and text were printed from photopolymer plates and laser engraved wood blocks on handmade cotton abaca, chipboard and French papers. Edition of 50.
